About Skidle
What Skidle is, who it is for, and how it works.
What Skidle is
Skidle is a checklist and workflow app for small businesses. It keeps track of recurring work: who has to do it, when it is due, and who actually did it.
Who it's for
Businesses with a small team and a set of jobs that have to happen on a schedule. Shops, cafés, salons, workshops, small sites. Typical uses:
- Opening and closing checklists
- Fridge and freezer temperature logs
- Cleaning rotas
- Vehicle and equipment checks
- Stock counts
- New starter onboarding
- Customer callbacks
- Maintenance requests
How it works
- Organizations. Each business is an organization. One login can belong to several and switch between them.
- People and roles. Members are owners, admins, or standard members. Roles such as "manager" or "barista" are labels used to decide who gets which work.
- Forms. The questions a job asks: a tick, a reading, a count, a note. Forms are versioned, so changing one does not alter answers already given.
- Workflows. What happens as work moves along: which step comes next, who it goes to, and what happens when it is late.
- Boards. Work shows up as cards in columns. Each person sees only the boards that hold work for them.
- Deadlines. Cards can have a due date. Work that is overdue is escalated along the route the workflow defines.
- Records. Every entry keeps who did it, when, and what they entered. How long records are kept depends on the plan.
Skidle runs in the browser, on phones and desktops. There is nothing to install.
Access
